Matrix is now into it's 14th week, during this time we have conducted 31 orientation sessions with clients and 15 family members who have been referred to the programme from a number of sources, including the Bridge centre, CMD, the Police, AOD services and self referrals.

Initially we were running 2 Early Recovery, 2 Relapse Prevention groups and 1 Family Education group per week.

However, we are now running 4 Early Recovery, 4 Relapse Prevention and 2 Family Education groups per week, which essentially means that we have groups running each week day -  increasing the number of groups has provided our clients with a greater option of convenient times to attend, that work in with any other commitments they may already have.

We run one Family Education group in the early evening for people who work, or are unable to attend during the day and a group during the day for clients and their families who have evening commitments.

We are about to start our Social Support groups which will run at least once a week and will consist of a variety of activities, including active as well as informative.

We have 9 staff members involved in the running of the Matrix programme, including 5 psychologists 1 AOD counsellor, who are able to offer individual counselling to further support the clients in their recovery.
